Comptroller to Begin Making Early Childhood Intervention Program Payments

Comptroller Leslie Geissler Munger announced Wednesday that her office is setting up accounts and will immediately begin making payments to Early Intervention providers as soon as it receives vouchers from the Department of Human Services (DHS).

"This is great news for those who provide valuable services to very young children who have shown a developmental delay," said State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago). "These programs are vital, and I am pleased to know that even in the absence of a state budget that Early Intervention is going to receive it's state funding.
